I've gotten pregnancy symptoms and then my period comes what could be the cause of that?

Sometimes before your period comes it can bring on pregnancy like symptoms. For me I get really nauseous and my boobs hurt really bad. I used to freak out every time it happened until i realized it was just my bodies way of preparing for my period.
