What's a substitute for peanut butter as a snack immediately after training?
Thanks in advance
Cheers for your reply. I kind of want something different from peanut butter as you obviously need quite a bit of it to get a good amount of protein.
Figure out how much fat you want per day and get it all for breakfast. Fat slows digestion so you don't get hungry between meals and you don't need snacks. Study some books about nutrition so you know stuff like that.
The 'snack' after training is for recovery. I kind of want something different from peanut butter as you obviously need quite a bit of it to get a good amount of protein.
You should be eating about 0.4 gram of complete protein per pound of body weight every day, counting only 6 grams per egg, 12 grams per glass of milk, and 24 grams per quarter pound of meat. I have not heard of this 'recovery' of which you speak. It takes about two days to digest a meal, so timing is not very important.
