It is so hard to believe sometimes that bullying is such a widely talked about problem yet very little is done about it. ‘Bullying is learned behavior, and anything learned can be unlearned.’—Dr. C. Sally Murphy. THE bully and the victim of bullying both need help. The bully needs to learn to relate to others without abusing power. And the victim of bullying needs some practical tools to cope with the problem.
The Bible tells of bullies who lived before the Noachian Flood. They were called the Nephilim—a word that means “those who cause others to fall down.” During their reign of terror, “the earth became filled with violence.”—Genesis 6:4, 11.
A simple solution is apart from home training which is ignored by parents is that schools should make this a part of their curriculum for students.
