What if after hundreds of thousands, even million years, the humanity is so bored of everything, since we already know everything about the world around us, that we will create a virtual reality, in which we live in the past without our current memories? Is our life some sort of entertainment for the future 'us' ?

well people are figuring this out when it comes to playing people get tired sooner or later of the same old thing so when you have that going on people will turn to new things to make life a little more entertaining by new things this will set the stage for new things as well as memories of the old things as well as bringing up the old stuff with new ways of approaching new memories derived from the stuff they already know
