Oh, I think I read your question wrong, the book is 13 years old. Yes, well, certain medical facts don't change with age of a book. Certain others are being reviewed due to new research. So be aware of that and get a newer book too. :-)
It depends on what type of medical facts. If it's basic anatomy you should be fine. If it's about cancer treatments.. then no. It really just depends..
