Should the theme of my party be unicorn or Harry Potter?

If the "host" of the party is a 5 year old girl then unicorn would be appropriate. If the host is an eight year old boy then go with Harry Potter.
If the host is an adult just have enough food and drinks and the theme doesn't matter in the end. Or go with a fun 80's dress up party. :-)
