We are filing chapter 7 bankruptcy, we owe Select Comfort for a mattress, will they take it?

We took a loan through Select Comfort on a California King size mattress.  It is stained and in imperfect condition.  We owe a good deal of money to the third party loan provider (GE I believe) will they take the mattress?

They won't take the mattress back. They can't do anything with it. List them as one of the creditors on the bankruptsy. They will have to stand in line to get their little bit of you assets assigned to pay creditors. Perhaps nothing... List all the little loans like this along with the big ones in you bankruptsy papers. They (the creditors) cannot take your, one house, one car, one TV one set, etc. They will only go after a big recent purchases like a $4000 HD TV just bought.

Yes They cannot take your asset easily even though the assets are not in good condition, the court will decide it, upon the advice of your bankruptcy attorney.

I don't know that even a mattress would be taken, does it cost that much?? it must be expensive, if they put interest on it.
