... scratches would be hard to see. My 16 year old brain kept thinking about getting a car so I didn't check it for scratches and such because on the car fax, it showed that there were no scratches or body damage reported and I just decided to trust it. I thought that we bought the car for around $26k which is a fair deal for a hatch with 18k miles and clean title. The next day after we had bought the car and brought it home, I was taking a long look at my car, when I suddenly start realizing all of the scratches. Most went through the clear coat so a buff job wouldn't do. My parents immediately call the person who sold us the car who coincidentally, called in sick. We then get transferred to the manager who tells us to bring the car in. The guy told us that he would get it completely fixed for no charge. After 2 weeks of leaving the car at the dealer, the car came out, almost exactly how it came in. I was outraged but there was nothing we could've done. My dad then thought of an idea to just return the car but here's the catch, since the car went to go get repaired, it can no longer be returned so that idea went out. After a long conversation with my buddies, I decided to ask if I can trade the car in. When I go to tell my mom, she shows me the "receipt" when we bought the car. I start reading through the receipt and I suddenly see "$10k on extended warranty." What kept going through my mind was "You are one dumb fellow if your spending $35k on a car not even worth $25k." My mother didn't tell me that she decided to put on an extended warranty. I ring up the manager and he tells us that we can't cancel a warranty after it's been bought. I really want to find a way to get our money back because the only thing I think about when I see my car is $35k down the drain. With $35k, I could've just gotten an sti or a focus rs. I can't think straight so I'm coming here for any suggestions on what I should do. Thanks
