Industrial revolution was that time period in which the transitioning of rural societies into industrial, urban communities took place mainly in Britain ( also America) . Industrialization introduced many machines which aided in the labor to be done since most manufacturing took place at the people's home before that time. Most jobs were also done by hand. It also introduced factories and the mass production of several goods.
It improved people's lives as there was an increased in the number of goods being manufactured at the market which resulted in the demand for more workers. The demand improved the standard living conditions for many (that is mostly first class and second class people as they usually owned the company and the third class were made to suffer through low wages and poor working conditions at the workplace) .It had also provided the unemployed jobs. The many advancements in technological aspects as well as scientific innovations resulted out of this industrial revolution. Economic prosperity also took place. The demand for certain rights came out as a result of this phenomenal time period. I guess the disadvantages were that the machines replaced the jobs of many people which resulted in the overpopulation in the city which in turn resulted in the high chance of contracting several illnesses present within that era. Child abuse at work places were also present at this time as many children were sent to work at a young age and experienced oppression and exploitation within the factories.
Hope this helped :) Good Luck!!
