I recently moved back to my childhood home. I remember when I was a kid the yard seemed huge and was full of dandelions. If it weren't for dandelions the yard would not have been green. Now I notice there are hardly any dandelions. My parents never had the money to get a yard service or would they ever have sprayed for dandelions. I noticed all the yards in the neighborhood have very few dandelions. My question is are the dandelions dying out because of the lack of honey bees. Or better yet are they dying out for some other reason. I live in central Illinois. I moved from Southwest Indiana and my yard there had plenty of dandelions. In fact my neighbor had a lawn service and would always complain that my dandelions where spreading to his yard.
