Would getting more involved with religion help my mental health?

Based on previous research, it has been shown that religion helps people have something they believe in and usually offers them hope and peace helping them cope with mental health issues by reducing mental health behaviors and conditions such as suicide rates, depression, drug abuse, etc.
However, religion can also negatively affect mental health, for instance, having a belief that God has abandoned you will likely increase stress, anxiety, and depression.
It is important to view religion with a positive mindset to help create hope and peace to cope with mental health.

God has promised to remove the very causes of mental disorders permanently.
When God fulfills that promise, never again will painful feelings, mental distress, and hurtful memories “be called to mind, nor will they come up into the heart.”—Isaiah 65:17. Therefore Religion will not help mental health but GOD word will. GOD will also do trhis in the near future accoding to Revelation 21:3,4
