Can you be electrocuted if lightning strikes the water while swimming in a large body of water?

If it's salt water then no. The only way to die by lightning in salt water is if you're right next to it.

Fresh water though, you should get out.

Lightning can do things that make no sense. But one thing is more certain than other things: if your head is above the water, that where the lightning is most likely to strike. (If your head is below the water, lightning is not your biggest problem.)
