Depending on what type of meat it can take from 30 minutes to 5 hours.

I think you may have misunderstood my question, I am a vegetarian and I want to know how long it takes to remove all animal meat from the body not human meat.
I don't know about your arteries and all that...once you've already digested something, the nutrients from the food are used everywhere in your body. I think energy from food can be stored in your system for a long time, so some of the energy you use today could be from meat you've eaten in the past. But as far as actual recognizable chunks of residue in your digestive system: It will still be in your digestive tract after a couple days but you can use an enema to get rid of it. or do one of those colon cleaner diets.
All that food talk just made me hungry....
I am a vegetarian and have been for 10 years, my question is how long it takes to remove all animal product from your arteries? I was told anywhere from 10 years to 16 years. there is no way your body is cleansed of all animal meat from the body after 5 hours if I had been eating Meat for 18 years everyday!
