...only average at math. I feel like I'm good at math but then I don't because I never really challenged myself in math. I am very interested in engineering but I am afraid I will not be able to do well in the math courses

Exact same situaltion as me. Just study lots, imagine yourself in the future working for a company and designing stuff how you want, and you should do fine just as I imagine myself doing fine.
