I'm going on a hardcore proper cadet camp with the full day navigation excercises and Ambushing drills and I was wondering if anyone had some ideas tricks or some gear that would make the camp easier and more fun

"Cadet" can mean anything from Boy Scouts to computer hacking to drug addiction to wannabe astronauts. "Camp" can mean any type of temporary housing along with any type of social structure. The purpose of a cadet camp can be anything, either learning or demonstrating what you can do with no learning.
Bottom line: nobody knows what you are talking about.
