Is it okay if a middle schooler goes trick or treating without friends with him?

alot of junior kids go tricker treating they do it all the time its just something happening every halloween and they sometimes have friends with them or they don't just depends on who they are and if they go with or with out friends

I say no because it's not safe for a kid to be out at night when there are strangers out and about that may have bad intentions. Even if this middle schooler had peeper spray and may run fast, it doesn't matter. They should have a parent/buddy with them to prevent anything that could happen. (I'm a highschooler and I don't even dare to step out without having someone with me)
