Love - What does it mean when jake ask markus "do u have feelings for kate" and markus replys with?

Markus gave kate the "ok" to flirt with him. then when she does, marlus doesnt really flirt back. kate knows shes falling in love but she knows/afraid that markus doesnt feel the same way. maybe she should just forget about him and move on. seems how she has a feeling that it wont go anywhere. "as usually" kate always says.

What does it mean when jake ask markus "do u have feelings for kate" and markus replys with "no" but then jake ask markus "does she know" and markus replies with "no" what does that mean? what does markus mean? does that mean he does have some sort of feeling for kate? Or is it her imagenation?
