Hi, My macbook pro wont recognize my camcorder. It is a sony HVR-Z1U mini-dv camcorder. I know I have the right firewire cable because it worked a few days ago. Have I pressed a button on my camcorder or is it my macbook? Thanks!

Sounds like to me that you probally may have clicked a button accidently im not sure but just reset youre computer and re-try the cable's again or just fickel around with you're camcorder to see if it'll work or not.

i think you might just check the connection of the wire from your camcorder to your macbook or plugged the  camcorder while your macbook is  just re-starting
