My wife liked my first run of rum I made so I wanted to make more...larger catch. I don't think I quite got a good ferment as the wash was still rather sweet before and after distillation. I am ready to start a new ferment with another ppl like with corn... barley...and rye. Can I use the " spent " mash as the liquid for the new mash and try to recover the excess sugar left...sort of like a sour mash but not really?
