In order to provide children safe spaces in preschools, this research explores preschool safety and identifies strategies for the improvement of safety in the preschool by investigating the perspectives of preschool parents. This article presents a qualitative case study approach, since such an approach can deeply explore the preschool safety. This case study uses a parent focus group in the Taiwanese preschool to explore how parents view preschool safety. Findings from this research indicate that parents believe children's safety is a very important factor in the choosing preschool for their children. Childcare in preschool must always put emphasis on safety. In addition, preschool environment should be safe as to keep children out of danger. Stairs must ensure safety, and floor should add a layer of protection, outlets, switches and wiring are in good protection to avoid the risk of electric shock to the children, dangerous spiky railing must have safety protection. The study provides insight into preschool safety and yields important implications and recommendations in regard to how government, education institutions, preschools, might most effectively enhance preschool safety in Taiwan
