I left an interview and the interviewer asked that I email her ASAP to let her know if I was still interested so she could plan how many more interviews to schedule. I sent her a short email expressing that I was still very interested and thanked her for meeting with me. I have always been told to send a thank-you card in the mail afterwards. Since she specifically asked me to email her asap about if I was still interested, should I still send a personal handwritten thank-you card in the mail or is that too much? The position is very competitive.
