So this started when my fiancé found some ripped up mail in a bush near our unit. It was addressed to a neighbour in the same complex but down the way. He decided to knock on their door to alert them as the mail had some banking information on it. He knew a woman might answer and didn't want to seem aggressive so purposely stepped back from the door so she wouldn't feel in danger. A woman did answer and thanked him for alerting her and rhetorically asked how it would have gotten in the bushes. He answered "i have no idea" a bit sarcastically. She all of a sudden got defensive and asked if he was implying that she threw it in the bush which he answered "maybe" and then she slammed the door in his face. sidenote: our mailboxes are in one section of the complex so no one would have access to their mail except them. So a week later, we receive a strata complaint of aggressive harassment. The next week, a complaint of parking in visitor parking. We do not park in visitor parking ever but sometimes park at the end of the complex if we are switching out cars. The end is not marked as visitor parking nor is there a do not park sign. This week we received a complaint of speeding in the complex! Apparently the bylaw states speeding is over 5kms which is ridiculous and no one goes that slow. As a matter of fact there are many people who do drive too fast through the complex! So it seems this neighbour is obviously targeting us because of one small incident that we have long forgotten about. We recently also realized that the women's husband is a strata council member. So they must be looking through the bylaws just trying to find some things to complain or fine us with. Oh and just today we happened to look out the window and saw the husband parked behind my fiance's truck which is parked out on the street. He never parks there and just seemed to be sitting in the car from what we could see. Or writing down his license plate? I feel like we are being bullied and harassed and the strata manager doesnt seem to be helping us. We dont fully trust him anyhow as he knows the strata member personally and is mist likely siding with him and her. What should we do next of this continues which it most likely will?
