Why does my beer get foamy when I dropped a grape into it?

Beer (lagers really) contains gas in solution, when you drop a grape in the beer nucleation points on the grapes skin cause lots of bubbles to form which caused your beer to overflow. Same thing will happen if you drop a grape in a glass of pop/soda.
