Why would you need multiple IP address's for hmne network?

Multiple IP address and servers in a home that are password protected? Plus are you able to save things under one IP address and have it be hidden from other IP addresses? To explain more...if I use a IP address and save things in a folder, can I then change my IP address and still view that same folder?

Router assigns local IP addresses to your connected devices. This allows them to communicate amongst each other behind your router IP addresses aren't reachable from the Internet.
