Are sombreros and ponchos traditional items of clothing in new mexico?

Responses (3)

Hats and blankets are traditional clothing everywhere, although the names vary. In Scotland they were called bonnets and kilts, in Mexico they were called sombreros and serapes, and so on.

New Mexico is a U.S. state, the one between Arizona and Texas. Population is low and traditions are few.

I'm not sure what you think is going on in New Mexico but its the USA and not some sleepy little Mexican village where you see everyone in sombreros and ponchos.

No, don't jump into conclusions based on the name of the state.
