As I read I type the letters in my head and envision the keyboard, is there an explanation or name?

A form of mental image / mind's eye - dubious this one in particular has a specific name (other than computer addiction, that is) since virtually anything can be manifested. Most people have it, and lacking such an ability is called aphantasia.
