I am not scheduled to work Tuesday, but my job is telling me that I need to come in for a half hour for a mandatory interview with a detective (I work in a teen home, it's about something that happened) Is there a minimum amount of time they need to pay me for coming in on a day off? I heard it was 4 hours, but I can't find anything anywhere. I live in Massachusetts.

well if its your day off and they call you in you havre the right to say no they cant fire you then it would be illegal cause you are really not suppose to call somone in on their day off but if you do and they say no and you fire them or give them any repercusions your place will be reported and they are suppose to pay you more if you decide to come in they can not just pay you for four hours a day i know this cause i called my uncle and he is in the government over there and he told me that is is illegal is what he said
