Can my landlord tell me what I can and cant have in my car if its not violating my lease?

He cannot tell you what to do regarding your vehicle in any way, shape or form. It has nothing to do with him whatsoever. If he's being abusive about it contact the police.

Of course he can tell you but you can disregard it since it has no more that a suggestion.
