Does current flow from the n-type to the p-type when the p-n junction of a transistor reverse bia?

In general under reverse bias condition there is no current flow in PN junction diode. But there is possible of flowing very small amount of current in the range of nano ampere or micro ampere due to minority carrier. This also know as reverse saturation current.

A material is called n-type when it has excess electrons, and p-type when it has excess holes. If you apply negative voltage to the n-type, the negative field repels electrons toward the depletion region and that is forward bias. If you apply positive voltage to the n-type, it attracts electrons away from the depletion region and that is reverse bias. So no current flows due to the expanded depletion region.
