Go to an architect and ask if he has blueprints which can help you.
Draw layouts of the floorplans again and again.
Unless you have ten designs no one will consider your request as being more than a lark.
To hire an architect, I have friends at Stantec. I suggest you do things as I suggest. I hear from them often about what needs to be delivered and that is not pizza.
Using old wood is a handicap. Bang, the bull dozer removes the entire site. Some downtown site saved a smashed out red brick outside. The cost unless your money is too much. (I do take donations to save the old man from having a laughing attack.) Yet to save a wall. NOTHING reasonable to man allows to keeping trash which will not even stand up to building codes of the day.
