How to write a formal letter of intent to continue a career in a company after resigning?

Have you already agreed this in person? If not, do it in person. See whether you'll be allowed to continue work. If so, it's your employer's responsibility to write to you offering you your job back, with a new contract to sign.

After discussing some important things, I agreed with them not to resign and continue working with them. But they required me to send a letter of intent to signify my interest to pursue my career to the company. The reason why I need to send a letter of intent because of my resignation from the company has already been processed but I'm still working and waiting the effective date.

Before writing a letter of intent makes sure that you have already agreed this in person. And if in case you haven’t, do it now! Because it is important for you to know whether you will be allowed to continue working or not. And once you are sure, write a letter offering you your job back with a new contract to sign. The body should be plain and formal.
