... day notice. Now they are trying to charge me late fees and the difference in what I paid vs the leasing agents screw up of $220.00 if I have a signed document with a signature from a leasing staff member am I still financially responsible for there mess up?

You might have to show the paper work to the top person involved with your lease if that doesn't work you might have to take it to small claims court where it will be taken into conscideration if it is signed by a a leaseing agent it valid unless the person didn't do it right i wouldn't let them take the lease from you sounds like they are hurting for money is why they did it i would see about some legal help.
