... gomenasai means I am sorry. Now in this case I've tried to say I am sorry mirror in Japanese but when I put it in Google translate it turns into sumimasen kagami. I googled it and it said that sumimasen was a more formal sorry or thank you while gomenasai is more serious,or something like that. Can someone just break it down to me because it's confusing me on why certain words in Japanese change when I pair them with other words
