I got my friend a gift that references an inside joke between us. I don't know if he will like or think that it's stupid or cheesy. I have to give it to him in a week and I won't be able to get anything else for him if I back out. I thought it was a great idea at the time but now it's really bothering me, I'm getting stressed and nervous. Do you think he will like the present or should I not give it to him? What if he thinks it's stupid?

If it's only something between you two, and your friend was laughing about the inside joke, I would definitely hand it over. But please leave other people out of it!! insiders tend to get risky when other parties see them displayed. If your friend is likably to get the joke, where's the problem? you can always explain when it turns out a blunder.
