In the 1920's, did men do any work around the house?

Yes, they fixed things, cooked, washed, cleaned, scrubbed, etc... the idea that men did nothing and women did everything is a myth and always has been. Traditionally men repaired stuff or built stuff in/for the house and the women "kept" house, true but no man would deliberately NOT do other stuff simply because they were a man.

They probably fixed things but it was the woman who; cooked, cleaned, did the laundry and raised the children. It was up to the man to take care of the farm animals, plow the fields, maintain a garden and repair the inside/outside of the house.
