So, I left a dead baby mouse in my snakes vivarium yesterday (11/2/16), how long will it be before the mouse decomposes? Will it smell? The temperature in the vivarium is between 77 and 84 degrees Farenheit. We freshly brought the mouse from PetsAtHome a few days ago. Please help. .-. Also, any ideas why she won't eat it? The snake is a corn snake and I think she's still a baby.

Snakes can go a long time without eating so it's not a worry. It can be the time of year such as brumating time or mating season or sometimes they just aren't hungry. Keep an eye on your snake's weight and if it's not loosing then it's fine, keep offering the mouse weekly and it will eat when it's ready too.
It's not recommended to leave a mouse in the Viv more then 24 hours as it can then become dangerous if your snake eats it. Remember these mice are already dead so leaving them any longer then 24 hours will start to decompose from the inside out
She's eaten dead mice before tho.. She's drinking at least. Idk, I'm just worried.
