I have currently been renting a room in a shared house for the past 10 months.
The landlord seems nice and lovely however there has been many times when she has entered the property without giving any notice to any of the tenants. Although some time it happened that she would come to property with few children for the whole day.
There have been days when she would even stay for the night with her daughter.
It has been 10 months since I have been renting in this house and today landlord have informed us that she is going to install a CCTV surveillance at the front door, which i am assuming is aimed to watch us (tenants) going in and out of the house. I assume this because there has never been any trouble going on outside the house so this would not be for the security purpose.
The question is.. Can she legally install the camera at our front door? Or is this a violation on our privacy?
