So I was trying to increase my pull-ups reps and I used to do pull-ups 3 sets of as many as I could everyday, but once I got to around 10 I hit a plateau and couldn’t progress. So I began doing the greasing the groove method, which is doing about half of you max set every hour all day. So I would do sometimes 4, sometimes 5 pull-ups every hour every day except 1 or 2 days a week without fault. However after about a month and a half of doing this program I did a max set and I could only do about 6. It seems that this program has had the opposite effect on me than intended. Now I’m not sure what to do, how should I do my pull-ups, should I be doing 3 max sets a day? Continue with greasing the groove maybe? I’m looking to increase my reps before I ship off to USMC boot camp, thank you.
