I want to know all the process that take place after the death of a registered organ donor. Like, How will you get information about death? Who will inform you? or even, To whom it will be needed to be informed? Does a local hospital where deceased have taken her last breath have some role to play? If yes, then what? Will any medical team will visit home or local hospital to harvest organs of deceased? Or deadbody will be shifted to any other big city hospital for organ transplanting? will family of deceased would have to pay any charge? What all formalities are to be carried out? Will these formalities also involve Police or court? And finally, in how much time body will be available back for cremation?

It depends on how you die.. most people, even if they want thier organs donated can’t because of the circumstances of thier death. Homicides, suicides and many accidental or suspicious deaths require investigation and a autopsy, this often leaves little to donate beyond maybe skin tissue or eyes.. everything else is disected..
Not only the circumstances around your death, but also time factors are involved.. if your body isn’t discovered for awhile, or you die to far away from medical facilities that can put your corpse on life support, your organs become unusable pretty quick..
Those with a best chance of actually being able to donate are people who die at the hospital or close to it where they can be put on life support
