The universe is expanding as I type. In what space is it expanding? Does the secondary space end?

It isnt expanding in a certain space, because space does not exist where space has not already expanded to. I wouldn't call it 'secondary space' because there is no space (ie dark matter/energy). The universe is expanding in a rather random spread because there is no center to the universe.
