Okay, so I am caring for several litters of kittens for someone, and one of these kittens has a damaged eye. I can't tell whether the eye is still present, but the kitten seems very ill. It doesn't run around or play like the other kittens, and the only time I've seen it eat is when I fed it by hand, and even then, it didn't eat much. It is constantly tilting its head, and the eyelid is swollen and discharges pus. We believe that the injury was caused by a dog. My father thinks it has a brain infection stemming from the injury, and thinks it is dying. I can't afford to take it to a vet, but I don't know what to do. Any help would be appreciated.
