When can I expect a letter from her?

My girl just went off to Navy Boot camp and I was wondering does she have to write the first letter for me to be able to write. We have not gone this long without talking this is so hard. When can I expect the address and a letter from her?

Never if you refer to her as "my girl"

To receive a letter from an unknown address, one must first have someone from that address send something to them so they have a return address. 

In boot camp, you don't have time to write, so it can take a while.
