If you were to jump off a high cliff or building and land in a deep (Say 1km) pool of cotton candy, would you survive? Would the impact of initially hitting the cotton candy be too much and would you slow down in time after you hit the cotton candy?

No, I don't think so. Because 1 kilometer is one thousand meters, and 3000 feet, that is too high. I think that the amount of cotton candy would kill you, not the fall. I believe with the amount of impact from falling forced on to you, you would be pushed IN to the cotton candy.
