I have recently bought a Gp5 gas mask.
I have tried to do my research on the filters as I heard of them containing asbestos.
I know the military version, the schm-41m's "coffee can" filter contains asbestos and the civilian filter has a cotton layer which has 7.5% asbestos.
However there are claims that they stopped using asbestos from the 1980's.
I just want to confirm if this is true as I have a Gp5 filter with 26-913-4-89 written on the side.
Could you please tell me what year this filter is and if you believe it still may likely contain asbestos or not.
