I just heard today that Prince, a popular singer and songwriter of the 1980's, died this morning. He was 57, which nowadays is too young to die from old age because people live to be in their 80's and 90's due to advances in medical technology.

It is beyond a shame actually. The 2015-2016 flu season was a whole lot worse than last year's was. Between November until now, literally everyone I know caught a respiratory virus like the flu or a common cold to the point to where they lost their voices and had to stay home from work and school. However, I never heard the media say a word on how bad this flu season was. It breaks my heart to hear about someone innocent die from the flu.
In retrospect, 2016 seems to be like 2009 when it comes to celebrity deaths and illnesses. Like 2009, literary everyone had either the common cold or the flu. Also, we had many celebrity deaths this year (Prince, David Bowie, etc.) like 2009 (Michael Jackson, Billy Mayes, etc.) For some reason, Prince's death reminded me of Michael Jackson's death. I don't know why.
