How do you feel about black Hermione Granger?

I just saw who will be playing Hermione Granger in the new Harry Potter film (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.) I always saw Hermione as Emma Watson (who played her in the first eight films.) Emma Watson is white, but the new Hermione is black. I don't want to sound racist but this totally isn't the same! What do you guys think?

I do find it a bit awkward, but it's not going to be a new movie, it's a play, so I think it's fine.  The books never said she was white anyways.  Again, it's a play, so there's going to be differences of course.

It's no big deal. The whole point of the harry potter books is that prejudice is wrong. So why are fans so against a black hermione

I'm all for racial equality, but casting a character as black when, for 10 years or more, they've been white is just wrong.
