How to make a title image in html?

By title image i mean the small icon beside your title on a tab, like a G icon for google and the red play button for youtube. I tried to add those between title and body but didn't work. already checked typo...

This looks right to me (although I'd put "shortcut icon" in lower case). Are you putting this HTML directly below the tag. If not, you should do. Also, you should probably have a relative reference to the .ico file which starts with ../ or just /.
