Ok so Bulgaria looks brilliant, we have a nice resort,etc. But is there anything I should know about keeping safe/not getting dieaces, also one day we will take a trip to Romania, is it also safe enough ? For British tourists ? Father and Son

Bulgaria is a beatiful country with fascinating cultural mix of east west from it being part of the Ottoman empire & important trading cross roads.
There are no real health issues & it has a good national health service which with your EHIC card & travel insurance you can use.
Only advice is drink soft drinks, bottled water, only use water for teeth cleaning, avoid salads & ice cream ( check if others are not experiencing tummy upsets if you are despite! )
There are no problems with security in Romania ( my cousin & husband moved out there to work in an orphanage & loves it) & found the mountains there staggeringly beautiful.
I do have a friend who has just gone out there with her Bulgarian husband fot 2 weeks, if the opportunity arrises I will ask her for some local knowledge
