I want to ask if its crucial to focus on what you are doing with the ball or focus on body movement, tecnique, watching the ball and in the end doing what you want with the ball in the end?

I'm no prior anything but if you want my opinion it's that you should focus on everything. Your eyes are your your windows to see what's going on around you. You take in all that info and make wise decisions about what to do based on what you see. If you focus on just the ball you'll miss you on seeing all your opponent is doing to take that ball from you. At the same time your attention should be on the ball as well in order to direct it as you will, not sort of off in your peripheral mind which would bring about sloppy handling ( in the case of soccer or something like that. In the end I think the answer is: pay intense attention to whatever needs to be pai attention to. When you're moving with the ball move with your attention on the ball, then switch "is there someone behind you?" no ok back to the ball, quick read the field. Is there a pass? No, ok shoot. Where am I going to put the ball.
It takes a careful balance or wisdom about where you're going to pay your attention. In baseball they say keep your eyes on the ball, but that's only while you're swinging. After you swing it's: where's the ball going? Quick concentrate on sporting, ok where's the ball? Where's the first baseman, just paying attention to everything closely I'd say. Anyways I've said too much XD take care friend
Well that's why sport are difficult I guess :p you really do in general have to keep your eyes on everything, however yes when actually striking you have to be completely focused on what you're doing. In baseball you keep your eye in everything that going on but at the actual moment of swinging then it's "eyes on the ball". Same with volleyball. With basketball you're looking all over but when you decide to shoot you get into your "zone" which you built during practice. That perfect technique that's been developed through practice
Thank you my friend, very useful:) one last question when i shoot a basketball, pass a soccer ball, serve and set a volleyball, should i focus more on what i want to do with the ball or on everything again in general, tecnique, watching the ball and then in the end what i want to do with the ball. Its hard to concentrate on more than one thing at a time, thats why i am asking?:)
