Scientists say that the universe can simply come from nothing because its total energy as well as its total matter is zero. But universe means not only matter and energy, but spacetime also. If it is the case that the universe can originate from nothing because of the fact that its total matter and total energy are zero, then are we also supposed to think that the total spacetime of the universe is zero? Perhaps that is the reason as to why the total spacetime of the universe can also come from nothing.
